About University

Institute of Space Technology (IST) - a federally chartered degree awarding Institute established in 2002 under the aegis of PNSA. The programs offered are approved by The Higher Education Commission as well as The Pakistan Engineering Council.

Location

IST is located in Federal capital of Islamabad.

Islamabad is the greenest city of pakistan and the most planned one. The city is well-organized, being divided into different sectors and zones.The city is connected to Lahore and peshawar through Motorways - M2 and M1 respectively. Islamabad, being the capital of the country is home to federal parliament (National Assembly and Senate), Supreme Court, President's Secretariat, Prime Minister's Secretariat, and federal ministries, corporate offices of all major public and private, national and multinational organizations.

Auditorium
Aesthetically designed, fully air-conditioned auditorium with a capacity of 230 is located adjacent to the entrance lobby of the Academic Block. Various national and international conferences, seminars, and workshops are organized by inviting dignitaries and professionals. The auditorium is equipped with most modern audio-visual systems.

Specialized Laboratories
The academic program is supported by laboratories equipped with the state-of-the-art equipment. Multiple equipment and instruments are available to ensure hands-on training of each individual student. In addition to the labs for IT, Electronics, Instrumentation some of the high end laboratories include: Propulsion Lab, Antenna & Propagation Lab, CAD/ CAM Lab , Structural Dynamics Lab etc

Information Resource Center
Information Resource Centre is integrated with digital technology and electronic information resources. There is an active and continuous development program for the IRC. It has a dynamic collection of books, journals, magazines related to the two disciplines and are supplemented by the availability of a Xeroxing facility. The core design, furniture and general decor contribute to the formation of an intellectual environment that attracts students to study with concentration
