Balochistan University of Engineering and Technology, Khuzdar, (UET Khuzdar), is one of the highest ranking engineering universities in Pakistan. UET Khuzdar is a state university with the Governor of Balochistan as the Chancellor. The Federal Government announced the establishment of the then Balochistan Engineering College at Khuzdar in 1973-74. The project of the college was given administrative approval by ECNEC in 1977. After passing through different phases of construction, the college was in a position to start its First year engineering classes in 1987-88. The institution was subsequently raised to the level of University after seven years of its successful performance, in the later half of 1994.
Location:
The University is established at the outskirts of Khuzdar, known as the heart of Balochistan. The city of Khuzdar is situated on National Highway linking Pakistan, Iran and Turkey. It is at a distance of about 400 km from Karachi and 300 km from Quetta, both of them being main cities of the country.
The city is facilitated with an Airport, near the university. The university is constructed on the foot-hills and is spread over an area of 200 acres. The clean and calm environment makes the university an ideal place for academic and research activities.

The University of Engineering & Technology, Khuzdar offers Bachelor’s Degree in the following four disciplines:-
Facilities and Resources:
Each discipline has got its separate buildings, comprised of Academic and Laboratory Blocks. There is a two store central library for the University as a whole having reading hall, and a circulation section.
All the laboratories are equipped with relatively modern scientific equipment. In addition to laboratories, ten different trade-shops are fully equipped for practical training in different trades for the students.
There is a beautifully constructed Administration Block also to provide space for various administrative officers/staff members.
