About University:

The University of Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJKU)  was established in 1980 at Muzaffarabad, Azad Jammu and Kashmir. The University of Azad Jammu and Kashmir is a multi-campus, multi-discipline university.The University of Azad Jammu and Kashmir has been making steady progress in both academic and administrative domains. During the 2005 earthquake, most of the buildings at the Muzaffarabad and Rawalakot campuses were destroyed, but new buildings equipped with modern facilities are now under construction, and new research programmes have already been launched.


Location:

University has three campuses: Muzaffarabad, Rawalakot and Kotli. 



Muzaffarabad is the capital of Azad Kashmir, Pakistan. It is located in Muzaffarabad District on the banks of the Jhelum and Neelum rivers. The city is 138 kilometres from Rawalpindi  and Islamabad  and about 76 kilometres from Abbottabad. Cradled by lofty mountains, Muzaffarabad reflects a blend of various cultures and languages. The main language is a form of Hindko.

Rawalkot, the district headquarter, is situated in the heart of district Poonch. is one of the many beautiful valleys of Kashmir, located approximately 80 kilometers from Rawalpindi  and Islamabad. During summer the place becomes full of the green grass and beautiful flowers including many varieties of roses.

Kotli, the District Headquarter, is at a distance of 141 kilometers from Rawalpindi /Islamabad. The Kotli  campus has a well stocked air conditioned library in the premises of the faculty with a large collection of books on different subjects, reference books, magazines, periodicals, and Journals. The campus houses one of the largest and the most modern Computer Lab for students.

About University:
The University of Arid Agriculture is located at Rawalpindi, Punjab. In the 1970s, the government of Punjab established an Agricultural College Rawalpindi for the development of rain fed agriculture. The college was upgraded to the level of the University in 1994.

Location:

The University is located in Rawalpindi almost in the center of the twin, cosmopolitan cities of Rawalpindi and Islamabad, the capital of the country.

The central location of the university places it in proximity to major institutions of higher learning and research like Pakistan Agricultural Research Council (PARC), National Agricultural Research Centre(NARC), National Institute of Health (NIH), Pakistan Museum of Natural History (PMNH), Rawalpindi Medical College, Poultry Research Institute, Fisheries Research and Training Institute and International Institute for Biological Control of the Common Wealth and Agency for Barani Areas Development (ABAD).

About University:

Allama Iqbal Open University was established under an act of parliament in 1974 as a pioneer in non-formal and distance education in Pakistan. It was then the world's second open university. It is the world's largest university by enrollment with over 3 million students. At present the total number of programmes produced is 116, and courses, 1,377. In the year 2007-08, student enrolment reached 1,031,951 and course enrolment to 2,982,420, out of which the female participation rate has been 51 percent

The University broadcast 264 radio and 382 T.V programmes in 2005-06. Recently the university has started to broadcast educational programmes on FM Radio at 91.6 MHz. The University has also established a video-conferencing network in seven select regions to conduct classes online for Computer Science courses. The regional network, at present, consists of 36 Regional Campuses /Centres with 82 part-time regional coordinating offices throughout the country. The university has by now established 1,274 study centres annually in coordination with formal educational institutions and study centres with latest computer lab facilities for the students

Al-Khair University (AJK) is a chartered University established in 1994 under an enactment of the Legislative Assembly of the Azad Jammu and Kashmir.  It is the First private University in Azad Jammu & Kashmir and Fourth of its kind in Pakistan.  Promotion of Professional, Scientific and Technological Education.

Location

Al-Khair University has several campuses around Pakistan. The University has it's main campus at Kotli Road, Mirpur and other offices/campuses at Lahore and Muzaffarabad. 

Mirpur city is situated at 459 meters above sea-level and is linked with the main Peshawar-Lahore Grand Trunk road at Dina Tehsil. It is the headquarters of Mirpur District, which comprises three sub-divisions, Mirpur, Chaksawari & Dadyal. It is 125 kilometres south east of Islamabad  via the Grand Trunk Road and 295 kilometres south of Muzaffarabad, the capital of Azad Jammu and Kashmir. The inhabitants of this district are basically agriculturists, though a large number of the people have proceeded abroad especially U.K. Various industrial units are flourishing in this city of romantic beauty due to its plazas, towering buildings, shopping centres and much more of this genre.

Air University, is a Federally Chartered Public Sector University located in Islamabad. It was established in 2002 and is recognized by the Higher Education Commission (HEC) and Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC). The University is a degree awarding autonomous public sector institution.

Location

Air University is located in the foothills of Margalla. It is located in the south east corner of sector E-9 (PAF Complex) of Islamabad. The main entrance is near the intersection of Agha Shahi Avenue (9th Avenue) and Khayaban e Iqbal (Margalla Road).


Islamabad is the greenest city of pakistan and the most planned one. The city is well-organized, being divided into different sectors and zones.The city is connected to Lahore and peshawar through Motorways - M2 and M1 respectively. Islamabad, being the capital of the country is home to federal parliament (National Assembly and Senate), Supreme Court, President's Secretariat, Prime Minister's Secretariat, and federal ministries, corporate offices of all major public and private, national and multinational organizations.

Agriculture University, Peshawar, formerly known as College of Agriculture, was established in 1957 as a constituent college of the University of Peshawar. In 1974, the college became a Faculty of Agriculture under the University of Peshawar. It attained its autonomous status as Agricultural University, Peshawar in 1981.

Location:

Agriculture University, Peshawar is located in the Historical city of Peshawar, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

The city is linked to the main motorway as well as the Karakorum Highway from which it is connected to all of the major cities of Pakistan including Karachi, Lahore, Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Faisalabad and Multan. The roads are also linked to Afghanistan and China. Afghanistan is linked through the Khyber Pass, which is the main gateway for both cargo and passenger travel.

The University of Agriculture, Faisalabad (UAF), originally the "Punjab Agricultural College & Research Institute, Lyallpur", is a university  in the city of Faisalabad. It was established in 1906 and was the first major institution of higher agricultural education in the Punjab. The University's faculty comprises more than 500 teachers of whom 224 hold Ph.D.
Location:
The main campus of the University is Situated in Faisalabad. However, there are three sub campuses of the university across the Punjab province. Poultry Sciences are being taught at the Sub-campuses in the city of Toba Tek Singh, Agriculture Sciences in City of Depalpur and Agriculure in city of Dera Ghazi Khan.


Faisalabad is an important industrial centre west of Lahore. The city-district of Faisalabad is bound on the north by the districts of Gujranwala and Sheikhupura, on the east by Sahiwal, on the south by Toba Tek Singh and on the west by Jhang. Faisalabad has a strong industrial base including textiles, jewellery, home furniture, and pharmaceuticals, assisted by the expanding transport network which includes newly-built motorway and highways to Lahore, Multan, Sargodha and Islamabad/Rawalpindi.

Aga Khan University is located on 84-acre campus located in the heart of Karachi.

Karachi is the largest city of Pakistan and its financial capital. Karachi is country's main sea port with the area of over 1,300 Square Miles. Karachi is the nerve center of Pakistan's economy with major industries of textiles, shipping, automotive industry, entertainment, the arts, fashion, advertising, publishing, software development and medical research are located in and around the city. The Abasyn University is located in Peshawar Pakistan.It became a university in 2007 after a North-West Frontier Province Government Ordinance in 2007. Earlier it was called Abasyn Institute of Management Sciences.

The university has its main campus located in the capital of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Peshawar.
